For this reason, only 3 controlled beaches are allowed to enter Salda Lake. These are Doğanbaba Public Beach, the beach within the Salda Ministry of Forestry Nature Park, and Yeşilova Municipality Beach. If you intend to enter the lake during your visit, it would be useful to raise your level of caution to an alarm.

What to Do in Salda Lake?

You can come here for a day or you can arrange your stay for a few days and fully enjoy this natural wonder. First of all, let's start by suggesting that the circumference of the lake is 44 kilometers and you should definitely tour around it. You can discover the pearls of Salda, the White Islands. Although it is said that these islands can be reached by walking, we cannot say that this is a very safe move in the suddenly deepening water. You can take a pleasant nature walk in the forest and get rid of all the negative energy on you. And while you're here, you can watch the legendary sunset.

If you have added Salda to the route of your caravan holiday, you can also tow your caravan to the lakeshore. At the public beach opened by the Yeşilova Municipality, you can both open your own tent and rent it from the tents located there. If you say ''No, I cannot stay in a tent.'', you also have the chance to rent a bungalow house. However, there are a lot of daily visitors here, if you are looking for a somewhat quieter place, you can also camp at Doğanbaba Public Beach. However, you may not be able to meet your electricity, clean water and toilet need here. Another point we need to remind you of is that campsites may not be operational due to pandemic conditions, so if you plan to stay there, you should definitely get information in advance. You can stay at the hotels located in Yeşilova district center or in hotels in Burdur and Isparta.

Salda Lake is 4 kilometers from Yeşilova district center and about 75 kilometers from Burdur city center. When we look at the surrounding cities, we can say that it is located approximately 110 kilometers from Isparta and 80 kilometers from Denizli. Instead of you can come here with your own vehicle or after reaching Isparta, Antalya, or Denizli by air, you can reach Salda Lake by buses

Similarity Between Salda Lake and Mars

According to the results of the research obtained, the white rocks of Salda Lake with high magnesium content are also found on Mars.
