Spending Christmas in Europe is whole other experience. Europe, with its gorgeous street markets, streets decorated in bright lights, special Christmas treats and nights filled with limitless fun, promises an endless happiness in Christmas and new year’s eve. For a short bu memorable holiday in Christmas we prepared a list for some European countries.

France is one of the countries you can have unforgettable memories in Christmas with its street markets and dreamy ambience. Especially the town Colmar, looking like a place from fairy tales is one the most popular destinations of the last few years. In December, you can feel like you’re in a movie set in Colmar where streets are decorated with lights. This town has many different Christmas markets, you can have sweet treats with cinnamon and ginger flavors and take pictures in front of magnificently decorated houses, which will make everyone envy you. Moreover, you can visit some of the towns that reflect the genuine French Christmas spirit such as Kaysersberg, Ribeauville, Equisheim and Eiquweihr. Perhaps it’s such a cliché but Paris is also one of the cities where you can feel the Christmas spirit to the end. One of the most beautiful cities in Czech Republic, Prague has a giant Christmas tree every year on Christmas time in the Old City Square. The tree is surrounded by Christmas street markets. The square is a very enjoyable place in the usual days but it becomes especially gorgeous in Christmas time. While watching the celebrations on the streets you should try city's special dessert Trdelnik with mulled wine.

Serbia

 

If you want to spend Christmas in Europe but don’t have a big budget Serbia is one of the most enjoyable locations you can go. Belgrade especially, is much more fun on Christmas than it is on the usual days. You can bask in the flavors and scents of cinnamon and ginger while walking around the street markets around the Freedom Square. You can’t get enough of the concerts held in front of the Parliament building. You can even find yourself dancing with strangers on the street called Knez Mihlijova. It is Belgrade’s most important and famous street and around that time of the year it’s decorated appropriately. You can take amazing pictures there.

If you want a real speacial and unforgettable Christmas vacation you definitely must consider Austria because you can have an amazing new year with Vienna’s famous Vienna Philarmony Orchestra’s magnificent new year concert. The street markets have tasty treats and a wide selection of gift ideas. There is live music and endless fun in annual Wintermarkt. Vienna is one of Europe’s most alive and fun cities in Christmas time and it’s waiting for you with its brilliant atmosphere.
