How provided Transportation of Truck Drivers in Italy and France made to happen in the Time of Pandemic?

Due to the increasing number of cases in the COVID-19 outbreak, charter flights have been stopped across Europe. For this reason, the logistics company decided to stop their business. But the truck drivers affiliated with their companies were in Europe at that time and had to deliver their trucks to the ships in Italy and France. The truck drivers in both Italy and France went to the ports and left their trucks on the ship. Now they had to return quickly to Turkey. However bus companies in Europe did not organize flights. As a team, we quickly managed the crisis and took the necessary actions. We contacted the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and conveyed the information of the truck drivers both to them and to the Turkish Consulate in Marseille and Trieste. Through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Consulate of Marseille went to the port and stated that a flight could be made from France. We quickly organized a charter flight in coordination with Turkish Airlines. We organized the charter flight, which was bought exclusively for France, to include truck drivers in Italy. As the Italian-French borders are closed and all passes are subject to permission, we have created a plan B for truck drivers staying in Italy. We contacted the Ministry of Foreign Affairs again and got a special permission to pass the truck drivers over the land border by printing NOTA to the French Prime Minister. We proceeded in coordination with bus companies, consulates, ministries and security forces to ensure that all passengers can safely reach the plane.

In addition to the truck drivers for our charter flight, we have organized all ticketing and travel operations 7/24 for both 50 passengers requested by the Ministry of Health and 60 French citizens requested by the Consulate General of France.
